The Home Front: Scotland in WWII
Project Description
The Home Front: Scotland in WWII is a unique and comprehensive interactive CD-ROM designed for the Scottish Education market. It brings together a wide range of reference materials in a variety of interactive forms - including video interviews with survivors of the war, and archive footage from the period.
The project was ambitious in terms of the scope of its content as well as its design (it was nominated for the Scottish Design Award for Best CD-ROM/DVD in 2005). Director and Flash were used extensively in conjunction with XML to create a rapid and stable development environment. The product was featured as a case study on Adobe's website as an example of innovative use of their software packages.
