From its hillside home in the Scottish Highlands, The Glendronach Distillery has been creating the finest richly sherried single malts for nearly 200 years.
Glendronach commissioned Heehaw Digital to produce a video to show visitors to the distillery the complex processes involved in producing the range of Glendronach single malts. The distillery itself is steeped in history, the whisky production methods having remained largely unchanged over the years, and the film had to represent this heritage and pride, a reflection of the carefully executed distillation process. The resulting film exudes class, with emphasis placed on careful composition and camera movement. But while traditional documentary in some aspects, the film is contemporary in others, with cutting edge motion graphics sequences highlighting technical aspects of the distillation process.
The complete piece is a fascinating glimpse into the life of a traditional distillery, and we fully recommend a visit. And a dram of the 33yr old.
