NHS Physiotherapy Advice Site

The NHS Website

Company Overview:

NHS Lothian provides care and support to thousands of members of the public within the Lothian area. For this particular project, NHS Lothian commissioned an online pilot project to establish the feasibility of an online symptom-screening and treatment recommendation system.

Challenge:

Construct a website for NHS Lothian which would be able to provide members of the public with advice and information on knee problems and injuries. The site would need to be driven by a powerful decision algorithm that is completely modifiable by trained administrators via the Content Management System. The CMS would also need to track user activities and offer reporting information based on data mining statistics. Finally, the website would need to be incredibly secure and provide full user accessibility.

Solution:

  • Construct a bespoke back-end CMS that would meet the requirements of the website exactly. It would incorporate a powerful and flexible advice questionnaire algorithm, user tracking and statistical reporting.
  • Level 3 accessibility.
  • Provide a design that is user-friendly enough to guide users through a variety of operations while maintaining a high degree of robustness and security.

Benefits:

  • Completely bespoke CMS, tailored to the needs of the client.
  • Search engine optimised.
  • Fully accessible and user-friendly.
  • High level of security and user privacy.
